The CF trust does a wonderful job as
well as those parents, families and loved ones who have someone they
know has CF or those who have lost someone to it, they are the ones
who give us hope, a lifetime free from medication, doctors and
hospitals. Buying a piece of our jewellery you to can make a
difference.
Well that's little old me, I'm nothing special but I hope you enjoyed
reading a bit about me.
Take care of yourselves.

65 Roses
A lady became a
volunteer for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation back in 1965 after
learning that her three little boys had CF. The woman's four year old
son, Richard, listened closely to his mother as she made each call.
Her job was to call every civic club, social and service organisation
seeking financial support for CF research. After a few calls, the
little boy came into the room and said to his mother, " I know what
your working for". The women was dumbstruck as the little boy did not
know what she was doing, nor did he know that he had Cystic Fibrosis.
With some trepidation,
the woman posed the question," what am I working for, darling?", "
You're
working for 65 roses," he said sweetly. The women was speechless. The
little boy could not see the tears running down his mother's face as
she held him close to her, " Yes my sweet, I'm working for 65 roses".
Sixty five roses has
been used by children for years to describe their disease. But making
it easier to say, does not make CF any easier to live with. This story
has captured the hearts and emotions of all who have heard it.
